IS THE VEHICLE COVERED BY INSURANCE?
- We supply vehicles with comprehensive insurance cover (Zero excess insurance; unless stated otherwise)
NOTE :
- All vehicles provided must PASS comprehensive test to ensure that they are safe to be driven on NZ road.
- All vehicles must display COF (Certificate of Fitness) on the top right of the windscreen.
- New Zealand is very strict on number of passengers in one transport; they count one child as one passenger and children below 7 is compulsory to sit in car seat.

CAN I USE MY LOCAL DRIVING LICENSE TO DRIVE IN NEW ZEALAND?
YES. Malaysian/Singaporean/Australian driving licenses are acceptable in New Zealand. Detail
- Please make sure your driving license is in English.
- Please ensure that your driving license is valid throughout the tour.
- Minimum age requirement is 21 years; no max age.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DRIVING IN NEW ZEALAND?
New Zealand is very strict for the drivers to follow their road rules and regulations. We drive on the left hand side of the road and the driver's seat is on the right (same like Malaysia).

For a safe and enjoyable driving experience while on vacation, make sure you're familiar with the important New Zealand road rules below :
- Stay on or below the legal speed limits indicated on road signs. The maximum speed on any open road is 100km/h. The maximum speed in urban areas is 50km/h. Adjust your speed as conditions demand.
- Follow the traffic flow, as NZ drivers will abide by the speed limit.
- We provide you with GPS, always check the GPS speed limit indicator.
- Drivers and passengers must wear seat belts or child car seats at all times, for both front and rear seats.
- Children below 7 years old are compulsory to use child car seat.
- Signposting follows standard international symbols and all distances are in kilometres (km).
- It is illegal to pass other cars where there is yellow line instead of a white line marking the middle of the road. The yellow line indicates that it's too dangerous to overtake.

Parking rules?
You must obey all parking signs. Any parking sign that has a red border around the outside means that you cannot stop there at any time, unless other times are shown. Some examples of parking signs and what they mean are here

- Auckland Northern Gateway Road Toll – 7.5km motorway north of Auckland between Silverdale and Pūhoi. The toll road gives you a choice between a more direct route or the scenic State Highway 17 via Ōrewa.
- Tauranga Eastern Link Road Toll - 15km tolled section of State Highway 2 (SH2) running between the Domain Road interchange, near Pāpāmoa, and the Paengaroa roundabout (SH2 and SH33 to Whakatāne and Rotorua). The free alternative route takes you on the Te Puke Highway, through Te Puke.
- Takitimu Drive Road Toll - 5km road that bypasses the Tauranga city centre and takes traffic from State Highway 29 (SH29) to State Highway 2 (SH2) in the direction of the Port of Tauranga and Mt Maunganui. The alternative routes are via Cameron Road or Cambridge/Moffat Roads.

- Price is not fixed depending on exchange rate, cost of delivery. It varies from one station to another. Check price of petrol here.
TIPS: Fill up the tank at main town; price cheaper than rural. Make sure you have enough petrol/diesel:
- Most rural area stations are far from one place to another and some not available after 7.00pm.

- You will need to arrange your International flight to New Zealand.
- If you will use Domestic flight, please book with Air New Zealand or Jet star. Both airlines offer service for domestic flight.

- Malaysians and Singaporeans traveling to New Zealand need to apply NZETA.
Australia visa (transit)
In the case of transit/stop-over in Australia and to pass through the Australian Immigration, please arrange for the Australian Electronic Travel Authority (ETA).
WHAT DO I NEED TO DECLARE FOR CUSTOM CHECK?

- All your dry and canned food (proper packaging with English label ingredients)
- Medicine (with prescription and labelled in English)
Dried Food
All food items brought into New Zealand must be declared. The declaration form is provided in the flight. Only dried food that is "commercially packed" is allowed into New Zealand.
Food containing dairy products (milk, baby formula, chocolate, butter), meat and poultry products (spicy chicken/ meat floss), honey, eggs and fruits are not allowed. To ease the custom inspection, pack all food items in a separate luggage.
In addition to food, other items should also be declared if you bring sports gear such as golf shoes, etc. Sports shoes must be clean.
New Zealand and Australia are stringent with the biosecurity check as their economy is mainly based on agriculture. They need to protect the agricultural industry from viruses, diseases, fungus, bugs etc. hence the strict biosecurity check.

Please bring along a valid Credit Card. The vehicle suppliers require a credit card for security bond. The security bond will ensure that :
- Vehicles will be returned at/before the specified time;
- Fuel will be refilled before returning the vehicle (unless you purchase the fuel voucher);
- No traffic offence has been committed such as speeding, etc.
ATM Card - Meps/Plus
You can activate MEPS/PLUS with any banks in Malaysia so that cash withdrawals can be done easily from any ATMs in New Zealand.
